SoGoCode LLC ("we," "our," or "us") provides Contacts Toolkit ("the App") through the Mac App Store. This policy explains the App's automatic local behavior separately from information you may choose to send when requesting support.
Key Point: The App processes contacts locally and does not automatically upload contacts, analytics, diagnostic logs, or screenshots. If you contact support, you choose the message and any optional diagnostic material you send by email.
With your permission, the App can access contact data on your Mac to scan, display, organize, format, merge, or otherwise apply changes you approve. Contact data may include names, phone numbers, email addresses, physical addresses, notes, account information, and other contact fields.
Full Contacts access is optional. You can scan Mac Contacts, import a vCard, select contacts, or use sample data.
Contact processing, automatic backup snapshots, diagnostic logs, and screenshots remain local during normal App use. The App does not automatically transmit them to SoGoCode and does not include developer-operated analytics, telemetry, or contact sync.
If you choose to contact support, your email contains the message you decide to send. You may also choose to attach selected local diagnostic logs or a screenshot. The App does not attach or send those items automatically.
With JavaScript enabled, the support form on this website creates a pre-addressed draft in your email client using the category, subject, and message you enter. Review the draft before sending. If the draft does not open, you can email support@sogocode.com directly. Information you choose to send is handled by the email services used by you and SoGoCode.
This policy does not promise a specific retention or deletion period for support emails. Include only information you are comfortable sending by email.
Automatic backup snapshots: Before supported bulk operations, the App creates a vCard snapshot of the affected system contacts. Snapshots remain local in app-owned storage. The latest 10 are retained, subject to a 30-day retention period.
You can restore a selected snapshot from the App. Restoration reimports contacts as new entries, normally into their original accounts. If an original account is unavailable, the App can use the default account after warning you. Restored entries may coexist with cleaned or merged results, so you may need to scan again to remove duplicates. Restoration is a recovery tool rather than an exact undo.
Account sync: Contacts Toolkit does not operate a sync service. Changes made to Mac Contacts may still sync normally through your configured iCloud, Google, Exchange, or other contact account. That sync is controlled by macOS and the account provider, not by SoGoCode.
The App does not automatically share contacts, backup snapshots, analytics, logs, or screenshots with SoGoCode. Information leaves the local App workflow only when you take an external action, such as sending a support email, or when a contact account configured on your Mac syncs changes under that provider's service.
Contacts Toolkit has no developer-operated sync service and does not include developer-operated analytics or automatic crash-report uploads. Voluntary support email is handled by the email services used by you and SoGoCode. Contact-account sync is handled by the providers you configure on your Mac.
Apple: Apple may collect diagnostic and usage information about apps downloaded from the Mac App Store, including crash logs and performance data. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and is separate from the App's automatic behavior. You can manage applicable settings in macOS under Privacy & Security. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Removal of an app and its associated files is controlled by macOS. This policy does not claim that uninstalling the App necessarily removes every locally stored file.
The App is not intended for children under 13. The App does not automatically transmit personal information to SoGoCode. A parent or guardian with a question about a support communication can contact us using the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App or our practices change. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last Updated" date.
If you have questions or requests about this policy or a support communication, contact:
SoGoCode LLC
Email: support@sogocode.com
Contacts Toolkit does not operate a service that collects your contact database. If you voluntarily sent a support email and want to make a privacy request about that communication, contact us at the address above. The availability and scope of privacy rights depend on applicable law.
The App's automatic contact processing and backups stay local regardless of where you use the App. A voluntary support email is delivered through the email services used by you and SoGoCode and may be processed where those services operate.
